The ousted "American Idol" singer turned down $50,000 offer before accepting the gig. |
Former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano will earn $100,000 to perform at a private party next weekend in Los Angeles.
The singer turned down the event's original offer of $50,000 before settling on the $100,000 fee and she is only required to sing a couple of songs at the birthday engagement, reports TMZ.
She will also be chauffeured in a limousine to the event.
Toscano was eliminated from the 10th season of the Fox competition on April 7 in what was described by many as a "shocker." Idol judge Jennifer Lopez said at the time, "I have no idea what just happened here. I'm shocked. I'm angry. I don't even know what to say."
She has since parlayed her ouster into a high-profile post-Idol career with an appearance on Dancing With the Stars, a spot on the Idol summer tour kicking off in July, and now a big $100,000 payday.
